Forest Foraging Show & Tell – December 4 (via Zoom)
The Columbia Chapter is hosting a “Show and Tell” Zoom session on forest foraging — and all OSWA members are welcome! This first session will include pesto from forest greens, harvesting stinging nettles, and cooking with chanterelles, with hosts Michele Schmidt, Mike Cafferata, and Heather Mohan-Gibbons. They will share what they forage, how they use it, and how they learned.
This informal gathering is a chance to share experiences and ideas about foraging on your own woodland and to see what others are doing on theirs. If there’s good interest, we may continue this series as the seasons change, featuring other members and the diverse ways they harvest and use forest products throughout the year.
Whether you’re an experienced forager or just curious to learn more, please join us! Also, if your friends and neighbors would be interested, invite them to join and share the zoom link with them.
