Watersheds & Fish Passage

In this webinar we will explore fish passage through an aquatic system, and the barriers that prevent fish from moving freely throughout the watershed. Speaker Melanie Klym, Northwest River Restoration Director of American Rivers will give an overview of the kinds of barriers fish often face, such as culverts, bridges and dams.

    May 28, 11:30 am: Join OSU Extension and the Long Tom Watershed Council for a field tour at the Monroe Drop Structure, a low-head dam on the Long Tom River. This dam is slated to be removed in 2027, restoring fish passage to over 3.5 miles of river habitat.
