Landslides in Forested Landscapes.

Learn about geologic processes, public safety considerations and forest practice rules relevant to small woodland owners.

Friday, August 15th, 2025 | 9am–3:30pm.

$20 per person.

This one-day workshop will include morning lectures followed by field visits to nearby landslide landforms. Learn about the geologic processes, risk factors and impacts that affect small forest landowners. We will cover an introduction to the ODF forest practice rules that apply to harvesting and road construction as they relate to slope stability.

Speakers will include experts from ODF and OSU. The field portion of the workshop will include walking up to 1 mile on trails and roads. 

Please note, space is limited.  Due to parking limitations participants will be transported to field site in a van.
