Matteson Community Day 2025

Date: Saturday, October 18th, 2025
Time: 9am to 1pm
Location: Matteson Demonstration Forest

Join OSU College of Forestry Research Forests, FNR Extension, and Friends of Matteson for our annual Matteson Community Day. The day will include volunteer work from 9am to 12pm and a discussion over lunch from 12pm to 1pm, with time for questions, socializing, and connecting. Lunch will be provided!

For those with limited ability or availability to join for the whole event, we welcome you to join for the lunch portion at 12pm as well. Please register so we can order you a sandwich!   

Together, we will:
-Work on Amy's Trail

-Maintain native pollinator garden

-Plan new trail loop

-Reflect on past year of programming at the forest

-Hear from members of the Friends of Matteson group 

-Visions for the coming years

What to bring: 

-- Appropriate clothing and footwear for trailwork and landscaping work

-- Water 

-- Sun/Rain protection

-- Camp chair for lunch

-- Tools
