NE Oregon IGNITE - Prescribed Fire Skills Training

OSU Extension, in partnership with Oregon Dept. of Forestry, Wallowa Soil & Water Conservation District, The Nature Conservancy, and Wallowa Resources, will be offering a Prescribed Fire Skills Training on June 6-8th near Wallowa. This will be a hands-on, skill-building training geared toward individuals with beginner or intermediate levels of experience with prescribed fire. Learn about fire ecology and science, prescribed fire unit layout, firing and holding techniques, monitoring weather, and operating pumps and engines. Anyone over the age of 16 who is interested in learning more about prescribed fire is welcome to attend.
