Oregon forestland owners planning forest operations have new rules to follow this year. This 4-part series will explore the most important changes to the Oregon Forest Practice Rules that took effect in 2024. Class topics include:
Session 1 | Tues. March 12, 3pm - 5pm | (Registration closes March 8)
Submitting a Notification of Operations to ODF. Road condition assessments, road construction & maintenance rules.
Session 2 | Thurs. April 11, 3pm - 5pm | (Registration closes April 8)
Funding opportunities for small woodland owners, including culvert replacement & road improvement funds, & the new Forest Conservation Tax Credit.
Session 3 | Wed. May 15, 3pm - 5pm | (Registration closes May 13)
Riparian rules part 1: how to conduct a stream permanence survey & design stream buffers on your property.
Session 4 | Thurs. June 6, all day field tour | (Registration closes June 2)
Riparian rules part 2: A field day looking at riparian management areas & practicing stream survey/buffer skills.
