Join the Benton Small Woodlands for an opportunity to see amazing architecture made from our local forests!

  • Peavy Forest Science Center and TallWood Design Institute at Oregon State University

  • Thursday, November 16 at 2:30 - 3:30 pm

  • You will need a B+C zone day pass (see link below) for parking in the lot that sits in-between Peavy, Richardson, and Emmerson.

We will meet in the main lobby/atrium of Peavy, which is a large open space highlighted with a grand wooden staircase.

Visitors will see two mass timber buildings at OSU’s College of Forestry:  The Peavy Forest Science Center, home to the College, and the A.A. “Red” Emmerson Advanced Wood Products lab, home to TallWood Design Institute. Dr. Mariapaola Riggio and Evan Schmidt will provide the tour, discussing mass timber, technical aspects of the buildings and some of the work going on.
